October 2014 eWISE Newsletter

Welcome to the October edition of eWISE.

As the end of the year rapidly descends and Christmas party planning commences, this month’s newsletter highlights some relevant blogs on the more unsavoury business of managing the aftermath of employee misconduct.

We take a focus on protecting staff, sometimes from themselves, and our article regarding unwanted sexual advances at work highlights some of the risks with alcohol, people and workplaces. Protecting your younger workers from the predatory behaviour of co-workers is also addressed, together with recent cases on confidentiality and correct drafting of allegations.

As you plan your upcoming events, consider a risk assessment on employee misconduct and choose your venue and events with safety in mind!
