eWise - July 2017

I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself as the Managing Director of WISE. I am a founding partner of LKA Group, which merged with WISE in 2014. The purpose of this merger was to harness the tremendous knowledge, experience and presence that the two business had developed in the workplace investigation and training field and form a leading and truly national presence. I have over 27 year's experience with Investigations and I hold degrees in Law and Psychology.

WISE as been at the forefront of applying and interpreting bullying and misconduct legislation in the context of workplace investigations, since its inception.

What's New

The NSW parliament has just announced that it will commence an enquiry next month into bullying in the Police, Ambulance and Fire Service. Research by the University of Sydney has shown that there has been no significant improvements or reforms since the implementation of the anti-bullying legislation in 2009.

In the coming weeks and months, we will be publishing updates regarding the progress of the enquiry, along with details of recent new laws and changes in other states on our blog.

Wise has also recently developed and delivered a new Abuse in Care training course in Victoria. We have also developed a number of tailored investigation training courses to help meeting the growing need in the government sector following recent new laws across most states.

We are also preparing for the AHRI Conference 21 August - 24 August, which for the first time in 6 years is being held in Sydney, this time in the new International Conference Centre (ICC).

Should you require our assistance in investigations, training or conducting a cultural survey into a suspected toxic workplace culture or specific allegations of bullying you can find out more information from our website or call us to request a quote.

Our next available course is our Conducting Workplace Investigations - Advance being held in Melbourne 6 - 8 September, below is information on how to enrol.
