eWise - February 2018

Whilst we have all enjoyed the summer and a break over December/January, it is time to refocus and jump into 2018! 

Last year we looked at the cost of the #metoo campaign and sexual harassment allegations in the workplace, and we expect it to continue to affect the workplace environment in 2018.  

What's New

Our first short course of the year was held in Melbourne at the beginning of February with Conducting Workplace Investigations continuing to be a popular course. We had a high level enrolments and lots of interest in our future dates, the details of these are below.

The ACT Ombudsman issued an update in late 2017 discussing recent amendments that has been passed in November, this included; 
  • an explicit require for entities to have practices and procedures to deal with reportable conduct and information-handling
  • Clearer information sharing provisions between child protection and other oversight or regulatory bodies   

amongst others.
