Investigating Fraud and Corruption

41% of government organisations globally have experienced at least one instance of economic crime in the previous 24 months (Pwc 2014 Global Economic Crime Survey: Fighting fraud in the public sector iii. Published February 2015)

61% of economic crime was committed internally.

Fraud risk assessment and prevention continues to be the most effective way of reducing and preventing economic crime.

This workshop will provide participants with the skills to identify indicators of fraud and corruption in government workplaces, conduct risk assessments, recognise the symptoms of fraud and conduct investigations into fraud and corruption in the workplace in accordance with the Australian Government Investigation Standards.
